I'm Anna Svoboda, a surface pattern designer based in Brno, Czechia, creating hand-illustrated patterns for licensing across fabric, wallpaper, stationery, and home décor.
I believe a well-designed pattern does more than decorate — it shifts the mood of a space, calms or activates, depending on its rhythm and structure. That's what draws me to this work. And then there's the other layer I love: the history and story behind each pattern, the traditions and symbolism that have been woven into fabric and objects for centuries.
Each collection begins with research — into cultural context, symbolism, and craft heritage. The patterns are drawn by hand in Procreate and Affinity Designer, developed in coordinated collections, and available for licensing.
I started creating patterns in 2023 while living in British Columbia, Canada — where the mountains, forests, and ocean gave me endless inspiration. Back in Czechia, that curiosity for the natural world and its histories continues to shape everything I make.

I retain the copyrights.
The concept of licensing
To license patterns by me you can select designs from my portfolio of existing repeating patterns.
I'll make adjustments according to your needs, like changing the scale and colors.

After establishing what you need, we write a contract stating the terms and conditions for our collaboration.
Licensing agreement
You can pay me a flat fee, or based on royalty - an agreed upon percentage of the gross sales of the patterned products, paid monthly or quarterly.
